I am fortunate enough to have the pleasure of meeting Father Joe as he steps in for our priest while he is away. Father Joe is so down to earth and real. He talks about real life st his masses including funerals. He touches your soul listening to him in person. In his book he is trying to tell us that we all have gifts from God and how to use them in this life to help others and to be a better person and to love the Lord!!!
Fr. Joe has penned a snappy read born of his years of experience with Stewardship--both as a national speaker and as a parish pastor. It is a good read for priests, religious, parish councils, anyone involved in parish ministry, but most especially for the laity. Stewardship is an organizing principle for any Christian's spirituality.Fr. Joe not only "talks the talk", but he "walks the walk". His parish in Kingston R.I. was widely considered a vibrant and excellent parish community. (It still is...…..but he is retired.) His congregation came from multiple zip codes and drew from three states.He links the spirituality of Stewardship to the theology of the sacraments. His approach is not overly doctrinal but rather pastoral in a way that makes the sacraments more real and accessible to us.
