The features within Matlab are totally mind boggling. This little book gets you up and running fast. IN short it lets you get on with the job at hand rather than spend an inordinate amount of time learning how to operate a program. Kudoos for Dummies
As a student, I have to learn Matlab for graphing and matrix use. A dumbed down version is very helpful for a dummy like myself.
I like this book it is logical and clear. You can use it even if you are not so pro at using MatLab
Like most "Dummies" books, "MATLAB for Dummies" makes a suitable and valuable starting point. And like most "Dummies" books, it contains several mistakes -- that just means that you must keep your wits about you, and treat the book as a set of guided exercises for you to perform and see what really works. Worth getting (I got the Kindle edition).From here I would like a more comprehensive and systematic technical reference. I usually look to O'Reilly Media for that, but oddly they do not publish anything on MATLAB.
Has been helpful so far. Good as a beginners book.

As good and easy to follow as I expected it to be. A great resource, even for the Ph.D. level class I am taking.
Bought this to get an idea for Matlab before I take the intro class this semester. I got about halfway through and feel way better about the subject.
